apturl software package provides install packages using the apt protocol - GTK+ frontend, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install apturl
apturl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the apturl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep apturl *
You will get with apturl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
